Yield: 1 serving
Ingredients
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ sugar
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp The Farm’s Cow Whole Milk
- 2 tbsp canola or avocado oil
- 1 tbsp water
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
Optional Add-Ins
- Semi-sweet chocolate chips or any flavor baking chips (peanut butter, butterscotch, mint, white chocolate, etc.)
- Chopped walnuts
- Peanut butter
- Nutella
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and grease a large 12-oz. microwave-safe mug with cooking spray.
- Whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt together in a small bowl, then add milk, oil, water, and vanilla, and stir until smooth.
- Pour batter into the prepared mug and add optional add-ins.
- Cook in the microwave at full power until the cake is set in the middle, about 90 seconds. The cooking time may vary slightly depending the mug you use and your microwave. Keep an eye on the mug cake as it’s cooking and stop the microwave as soon as the center looks done. Even an extra 15 seconds in the microwave can lead to a cake that’s really dry.
- Carefully remove from the microwave and allow to cool slightly.
- Grab a spoon and enjoy!
