Frozen Hot Chocolate Slushy
Our recipe for a make-at-home frosty treat is a fun twist on a favorite flavor. Made with our creamy milk and hot cocoa packets, it tastes just like a fudgsicle from the ice cream truck!
Yield: 4 or more servings
Ingredients
- 3 cups of ice
- 2 cups The Farmer’s Cow Milk
- 1 tbsp chocolate syrup, plus extra for drizzling
- 3 hot cocoa packets
- Optional garnishes
- Whipped cream
- Dark or milk chocolate shavings
- Drizzled chocolate syrup
Instructions
- Using a vegetable peeler or grater, create chocolate shavings from dark or milk chocolate squares. Set aside in a cool place until the slushy is ready for garnishing.
- Add ice, milk, chocolate syrup and hot cocoa packets to a blender that can easily crush ice and blend until smooth.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup around the inside rim of serving glasses so that it drips down the inside of the glass.
- Pour the frozen hot chocolate slushy equally into glasses, top with desired garnishes, and serve immediately with a straw.
- Go crazy by using peppermint hot cocoa and crushed peppermint candies for garnish or use Mexican frozen hot chocolate by adding cinnamon and cardamom to the blended mixture.
- Freeze leftover slushy mixture in popsicle molds to make homemade fudgesicles.
