Cinnamon Coffee Bars
Yield: 2 Dozen bars
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1 The Farmers Cow egg
- 1/2 cup hot coffee
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts
- Quick cream icing
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp margarine or softened butter
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 to 2 tbsp The Farmer’s Cow whole milk
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, grease 9x9x2 baking dish and dust if with flour
- Mix butter, sugar, and egg. Stir in coffee
- Sift dry ingredients together. Stir into the wet mixture and blend in chocolate chips and nuts
- Spread in prepared pan
- Bake for 18 to 20 minutes and let cool
- While the cake is cooling, prepare the icing by mixing all ingredients together until smooth
- When the cake is cool, spread icing thinly over the top of the warm cake and cut it into bars
