Winter Farm Tour
Celebrate President’s Day exploring a working dairy farm. Horse-drawn wagon rides will take visitors to see the cows and view the farm, and if there is snow on the ground there will be sleigh rides, too. See real local cheese in the making at the on-farm “cheese pods” created in partnership with The Mystic Cheese Company and meet cheese maker Brian Civitello.

Enjoy a farm to table experience at the Parallel Post Restaurant located in Trumbull, CT. Hosted by James Beard, nominated chef Dean James Max and the team at Parallel Post Farm. Start with a warm palate with a welcome cocktail and sampling of small bites followed by a family-style dinner ripe with the season's finest local ingredients, wine pairings and a sweet finish with an all-you-can-indulge dessert spread.

chowdafest

The Farmer's Cow is proud to be The Official Dairy & The Official Coffee for Chowdafest 2014. Join us at New England’s Best Chowder & Soup Competition, Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport on Sunday, February 2nd.

Enjoy sampling 32 decadent chowders, soups and bisques from 28 restaurants. Meet Chef Ref and vote for your favorites. We’ll be there sampling our coffee, Chocolate Milk and Farmland Crunch Ice Cream.

Profits benefit the Connecticut Foodbank. Tickets at the door are just $12 for adults and $5 for kids ages 6-12. Save $2 on adult admission with advance discounts tickets available at any New Haven and Fairfield County Stop & Shop location (cash only please). For more information go to www.chowdafest.org.

More than 5,000 people attended Chowdafest, the state’s biggest chowder and soup competition. on Souper-Bowl Sunday. We were proud to sponsor this great event that raised money for Connecticut Food Bank.
