The Farmer’s Cow is proud to partner once again with Chef Scott Miller from MAX Restaurants to host two scrumptious local feasts at Graywall Farms. The lush open fields with sweeping views offer the perfect setting to enjoy world class cuisine that celebrates the beauty and bounty of local agriculture.
This season’s themed dinners with The Farmer’s Cow are:
- “Bluegrass, Beers & BBQ” Friday, July 17th with live music by Daphne Lee Martin – TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE
- “Tomato, To-mah-to” Saturday August 15th with live music by Broca’s Area, recently named “Best New Band” and “Best R&B/Soul Band” by the Connecticut Music Awards
The MAX Chef to Farm Dinner series has been named one of the five top farm dinners in the country by Fodor’s Travel. Both events at Graywall Farms commence at 6:30pm with a beverage reception during which guests can mingle and enjoy a tour of the farm with members of The Farmer’s Cow.
Dinner is prepared al fresco and served in a tented area where tables dressed in white linen and candlelight offer a view of the outdoor kitchen. Each dinner is cooked from scratch and showcases the best freshly harvested local produce. The specific menu for each evening will vary depending on the day’s harvest and the inspiration of Chef Miller.
“We are thrilled to partner with The Farmer’s Cow to offer not just one but two spectacular dinners again this year,” said Chef Scott Miller. “Bluegrass, Beers & BBQ is our most popular dinner and is already sold out. Tomato, To-mah-to in August will be a very special evening with music by award-winning local band Broca’s Area.”
The Farmer’s Cow, Graywall Farms and the Chesmer family are pleased to welcome guests at these great events. “Chef to Farm Dinners are a highlight of the summer season,” says Robin Chesmer, managing member of The Farmer’s Cow. “We are proud to have our Connecticut dairy farm host white linen events for guests to see where local milk is produced while enjoying a five-star meal. It is really neat to bring a first quality restaurant experience out into our fields surrounded by growing crops and curious cows.”
Graywall Farms is a family-owned working dairy farm. Guests coming to enjoy delicious food will be able to meet the cows and the farmers of The Farmer’s Cow. A portion of the proceeds from the events at Graywall Farms will benefit the Connecticut Farmland Trust (CFT), a statewide conservation organization dedicated solely to permanently protecting Connecticut’s farmland.
