Monday, February 20th, 1-3pm at Graywall Farms in Lebanon
January 24, 2017 (Lebanon, CT) – Escape cabin fever at The Farmer’s Cow Annual Winter Farm Tour at Graywall Farms in Lebanon. Visitors are invited to enjoy an outdoor open house, Presidents Day, Monday, February 20th from 1-3pm.
The Winter Farm Tour is an enjoyable and educational experience for all ages. Put on your winter boots and bundle up to see the cows, tour the milking parlor, and learn about life on a dairy farm. If there is enough snow on the ground there will be horse drawn sleigh rides, too. After the tour, warm up with The Farmer’s Cow hot coffee, hot Apple Cider, and sample fresh milk, chocolate milk, and ice cream. Products also will be available for sale to take a little COW home.
“Our farmers are proud to show everyone how we care for our cows that give delicious milk,” said Robin Chesmer, Managing Member of The Farmer’s Cow. “We have hosted thousands of visitors at tours of our member farms and the Winter Tour is always very popular. Everyone enjoys experiencing the farm in winter and our curious cows enjoy all the activity of having visitors!”
The Winter Farm Tour is free for all and no reservations are required. This event is weather permitting! Cold and snow are okay but MUDDY fields can cause a problem for parking and sub-arctic temperatures are no fun for anyone. Please check The Farmer’s Cow website and Facebook page for updates.
